Jack Veach Memorial - John Bemis "Jack" Veach was a great friend of the Cradle of Forestry. He served five terms on the Board of Directors of the Cradle of Forestry in America Interpretive Association, was a major contributor to the Forestry Discovery Center Capital Campaign, and remained active with the Association well into his nineties. The Jack Veach Memorial Fund supports educational activities of the Cradle of Forestry Interpretive Association Staff.

Peter Hanlon Memorial - Pete Hanlon was a founder of the Cradle of Forestry in America Interpretive Association, serving as the first Chairman. Over the years he was a well known advocate for scientific forest management. Pete served as the Forest Supervisor for the National Forests in North Carolina in the 1960's. This fund supports marketing and special events at the Cradle of Forestry Site.
